CWIS #7 United Nations World Conference on Indigenous Peoples

The United Nations General Assembly decided in December 2010 by adopting resolution 65/198 to convene a Plenary Session of the General Assembly as the World Conference on Indigenous Peoples scheduled for September 22-23, 2014.Indigenous Delegations will have limited direct participation in the Plenary Session, but will have ample opportunity to directly meet with and engage States’ government delegations, International Organization delegations and delegations from indigenous peoples throughout the world during the Conference. Four Topics from sub-regional locations must be developed and become part of the Regional Preparatory Session.

Chief George Manuel Memorial Indigenous Library

The library is dedicated to the memory of Secwepemc Chief George Manuel (1921-1989), to the nations of the Fourth World and to the elders and generations to come.
