Shining a Light

Published: January 31, 2016, Author: AngelSupport

CERA — “The Ku Klux Klan of Indian Country” — has gotten off lightly. Seattle area media has apparently given these white supremacists a free pass to organize in the Pacific Northwest.

Tribal leaders in the region have made great strides in educating the public about treaty rights, but their prodigious efforts are currently undermined by the Wall Street/Tea Party convergence, that works side by side with CERA.

Shining a light on this lethal blind spot, I offer my perspective on this invisible story, which I have covered at IC Magazine — a CWIS publication — since April 2013.

Chief George Manuel Memorial Indigenous Library

The library is dedicated to the memory of Secwepemc Chief George Manuel (1921-1989), to the nations of the Fourth World and to the elders and generations to come.
