		<description>Well stated, I was in Australia during that official apology and can testify of the real human impact at the base community level, and in relation to the ongoing ripples of change in the mainstream cultures of that country. Only based on my observations since coming back to Canada over the past year, but I do not see the same pervasive impact socially and culturally in Canada post-apology here. The overall tone and emotional and social impact of the Canadian political staging was quite different, and perhaps due to the entrenched nature of the political scene in this country vis a via Indigenous issues and status.</description>
