Biographical Information:Ms. Bruce was born and grew up in a trilingual (English, Spanish, and German) home in Alaska, USA. She is a researcher, writer, and advocate in Fourth World geopolitics. Her areas of focus include human migration, climate change mitigation, and conflict transformation. She holds a masters degree in Intercultural Service, Leadership and Management from the SIT Graduate Institute in Vermont, USA. As part of her field-based studies Heidi worked as a research assistant with the Center for World Indigenous Studies where she investigated historical food security and climate change adaptation in western Mexico. She currently works for the Center as a Research Associate.
