Biographical Information:Ms. Bruce was born and grew up in a trilingual (English, Spanish, and German) home in Alaska, USA. She is a writer, researcher and an avid traveler. She earned her Master degree in intercultural service from the SIT Graduate Institute (formerly known as the School for International Training) in Vermont, USA. As part of her field-based studies Heidi worked as a research assistant with the Center for World Indigenous Studies where she investigated historical food security and climate change adaptation in western Mexico. She currently works for the Center as a Research Associate.
