In A Changing World, we hear from the Inuit of Nunavut about the plans to mine their landscape and plow their waters. From the perspective of Inuit elders, it is a systematic plan to destroy Inuit, some of whose children have become “people we do not recognize or understand.” From the perspective of Inuit youth, it is a future devoid of walrus and caribou, where Inuit people become lost in the mines.
The library is dedicated to the memory of Secwepemc Chief George Manuel (1921-1989), to the nations of the Fourth World and to the elders and generations to come.
