Box 2574 :: :: Olympia, Wa Fido Net 1:352/333 :: :: 98507-2574 206-786-9629 :: :: USA The Quarto Mundista BBS :: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: RESOLUTION #9301 OF THE LAKOTA NATION WHEREAS: The Dahcotahs aka Lakota Nation is comprised of the bands known as the Hunkpapa, Oglala, Minneconjou, Itazlpo, Oohenumpa, Brule, Sicangu, Yahkton, Sihasapi and Santee and the Cheyennes, Arapahoes, Crows, Assinaboines, Gros Ventres, Mandans and Arrickaras Nations are recognized in the Fort Laramie Treaty of 1851, and WHEREAS: The Lakota Nation is defined as the indigenous holders of the alodial title within the bioregional linguistic kinship related area as defined in this jurisdictional resolution, and WHEREAS: The bioregional linguistic kinship area and all its resources within the Lakota Nation are necessary for the physical health and spiritual wellbeing of the sovereign people of the Lakota Nation, and WHEREAS: The sovereign people of the Lakota Nation can no longer tolerate third party interference into its jurisdiction by the states of South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming, Montana and Nebraska and/or agents of these states in the form of limited liability corporations or municipal or county governments. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT The Lakota Nation boundaries as defined through traditional markers to include but not limited to all lands, water, air and resources within the bioregional area as defined in the Fort Laramie Treaty between the nations of the Sioux or Dahcotahs, Cheyennes, Arapahoes, Crows, Assinaboines, Gros Ventre, Mandans and Arrickaras and the Government of the United States of America on the Seventeenth Day of September, A.D. One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty One, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the bands of the Lakota Nation as agent for the sovereign members of the bands and Lakota Nation assert its suzerain/sovereign jurisdiction responsibility throughout the bioregional linguistic kinship related area as defined above, and hereby include protection for the traditional general councils against third parties in the form of state governments or their licensed agents.
