March 1, 1980. This brief article addresses an 11-day labor dispute of workers at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. The dispute idled 2300 workers and occurred because pipe-fitters allegedly tore out some work done by carpenters at the No.1 plant. Over 125 pipe-fitters and electricians were fired but unions sent them back and U.S. District Judge Robert McNichols ordered the company to rehire the men.
