Paper presented to the Symposium: “The Fourth World: Relations Between Minority Peoples and Nation-States.” This paper outlines how the relationship between minority peoples and the nation state Bangladesh are structured by a political theory which has by its implications paved the way to the willful and large-scale destruction of cultures and the annihilation of thousands of people in the Chittagong Hill Tracts in Bangladesh.
