This study from the 20th session of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues in 2021 addresses indigenous rights in the Americas during the pandemic, and how safety measures have affected such rights. It was found that governments, in an attempt to revitalize their economies, frequently tended to emphasize agro-industrial projects that impeded on indigenous land rights and self-determination.
