The Global Summit on HIV/AIDS, Traditional Medicine & Indigenous Knowledge Conference commenced with scientific and technical submissions at the Ghana Insitute of Management & Public Administration on Tuesday, March 14, 2006. The conference was officially launched by Honourable Courage Quarshigah, Minister of Health, Republic of Ghana. This Declaration outlines long term objectives towards parallel collaboration between holistic healers and allopathic practitioners for the treatment of HIV/AIDS and eventual establishment of protocols for referrals between the systems.
