This United Nations Human Rights Council report focuses on human rights in Guatemala during the year of 2020. Included in this report is the discussion of indigenous rights within Guatemala. It was found that the indigenous poverty rate is the highest of any demographic in the country, with 8 out of 10 indigenous Guatemalans living in poverty. Furthermore, Guatemalan indigenous communities were disproportionately affected by landslides and flooding caused by tropical storms Eta and Iota.
