Recent Findings on Indigenous Navigation in the North of Colombia

This study describes navigation practices and techniques of indigenous peoples in northern Colombia in the pre-Hispanic era. As there was previously little literature on the topic, this study serves to introduce and situate indigenous navigation among other historical and ethnographic findings. This study is important also because it serves to contextualize native fishing practices and justify their historical usages.
