This book is the first volume in a two-part series documenting the conditions of indigeous women in Nepal, India, and Bangladesh. It explores the interface between indigenous and female identities in the unique South Asian context. More specifically, it focuses on the political participation of rural indigenous women of the Chittagong Hill Tracts in Bangladesh, the participation and representation of indigenous women in decision making in Nepal, and the narratives of struggle and victory among indigenous women in India.
