Tom Goldtooth of Indigenous Environmental Network (IEN) was interviewed on Democracy Now this week. As Congress was busy making pollution deals with coal and oil lobbyists, IEN was busy at the UN speaking up for Mother Earth. As Goldtooth observed, it would be much easier to protect the environment if big NGOs like NRDC weren’t so committed to selling out.
