Court Supports Kurds

The European Court of Human Rights has ruled against the government of Turkey for banning Kurdish political parties. Arrests of Kurdish mayors and attacks on Kurdish communities by Turkey threaten to destroy any chance of peace. Meanwhile, Kurdish resistance leaders offering to lay down their arms in exchange for democracy have given the Turkish government until June to abide by international human rights law.
