This is a "white paper" prepared by several American Indian Governments and several inter-tribal organizations entitled: "A Tribal White Paper on Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation" August 2009. It was originally prepared as a communication to the US White House office of Environmental Policy to inform the US government of an appropriate position to take in the formulation of domestic climate change policy and to inform US policy in UN Framework Convention on Climate Change negotiations.
The library is dedicated to the memory of Secwepemc Chief George Manuel (1921-1989), to the nations of the Fourth World and to the elders and generations to come.
