The indigenous people of North Africa, the Imazighen, survived the Arab conquest, and now face the threat of Islamic terrorism. In the chaotic aftermath of uprisings and NATO invasions, the Imazighen are seeking to establish an autonomous Amazigh nation in Libya–one that could help bring stability to the broader region of Tamazgha (North Africa).
The library is dedicated to the memory of Secwepemc Chief George Manuel (1921-1989), to the nations of the Fourth World and to the elders and generations to come.
