As Nil Nikandrov reports at Wrong Kind of Green, CIA financing of subversive NGOs and direction of terrorists via the U.S. Embassy in La Paz has continued since first discovered in 2006. Noting the recent revelation of U.S. military intelligence agents, posing as scientists researching high altitude human health in Bolivia in 2012, Nikandrov observes that Pentagon-funded military attaches are currently exploring opportunities to overthrow the Morales government. Using its base of operations in Paraguay, says Nikandrov, U.S. Defense Intelligence is preparing to launch further counteroffensives to destabilize Bolivia and return South America to US control.
