A memorial service held outside the Vatican to commemorate children murdered in Catholic Indian boarding schools in Canada, is part of a truth-telling tour by Reverend Kevin Annett and First Nations survivors from British Columbia. Reverend Annett will also be screening Unrepentant — his documentary film on aboriginal genocide — in Italy, England and Ireland. Annett and First Nations leaders are working to involve the United Nations in holding the responsible churches and governments accountable for these crimes against humanity.
The library is dedicated to the memory of Secwepemc Chief George Manuel (1921-1989), to the nations of the Fourth World and to the elders and generations to come.
