The Constitutional Court of Colombia will soon sentence investors, paramilitary, and army members involved in arson and murder of indigenous peoples in order to establish a biodiesel refinery and plantation on their land. Meanwhile, the Colombian Interior Ministry remains hostile to observance of international law respecting indigenous rights. Resolution of the longstanding dispute between the Colombian state and its original nations will likely end up before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.

Chief George Manuel Memorial Indigenous Library
