Having successfully undermined legally binding carbon emission reductions for major polluters like Canada, the US and China, the United States team at Cancun is now moving full court press on instituting the Ponzi scheme known as REDD. REDD, the darling of Wall Street and the World Bank, is yet another wealth transfer scheme expected to make Barack Obama’s bank bailout look like chicken feed. REDD is also dear to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who, thanks to Wikileaks, we now know is up to her neck in dirty deals at the UN. Maybe that’s why mainstream news outlets are trotting out hedge fund honchos like Soros in support of the scam; nothing reassures financial industry thieves more than the stamp of approval of one of their own.
