On March 25, the Roman Catholic Church order of Northwest Jesuits paid $166.1 million to Alaska Native and American Indian victims of sexual abuse during the 1960s and 1970s at residential schools in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. On April 19, The Silence, a PBS FRONTLINE special about the scandal, will air on public television.
