Every story has more than one side. In this film trailer by Raul Paz Pastrana, the story of the Yasuni rainforest is told from the view of its indigenous inhabitants, the Huaorani. The government of Ecuador has stated it will hold up oil drilling in this part of the Amazon for $100 million. As protectors of the forest, the Huaorani in the past fought missionaries and oil explorers with spears; now they are fighting with film.
The library is dedicated to the memory of Secwepemc Chief George Manuel (1921-1989), to the nations of the Fourth World and to the elders and generations to come.
