Nigeria: Igbo Group Wants Uwazuruike Freed

Lagos — Igbo Progressive Assembly, a body in the vanguard of articulating and championing the Igbo course has described the continued detention of the leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) as provocative.

The group lamented that while other individuals from other ethnic nationalities who were arrested about the same time with crimes bordering on violence and murder have been released, Uwazuruike has been held.
