A study by Johns Hopkins, published in the Journal of Psychopharmacology, concludes that use of psilocybin (magic mushrooms) increases creativity, artistic appreciation and curiosity. The study notes that this discovery about how this entheogen changes how people perceive themselves and their environment is unprecedented, but for indigenous peoples, raising consciousness is an ancient and well-known field of study.
