Australia Nukes Aborigines

Australia Nukes Aborigines

When the Australian government invaded the Northern Territory, they said it was to protect Aboriginal children. Now we know it was to militarize the region in preparation for using Aboriginal lands as a place for the government to dump nuclear waste.

Suddenly, Australia’s opposition to the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples makes sense. If Aborigines have human rights, then Australia might be obliged to treat them like human beings–an obligation that isn’t part of their plan.
