Speaking at the December 2009 UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, G-77 Chief Climate Negotiator, Lumumba Stanislaus-Kaw Di-Aping of Southern Sudan, addressed civil society participants asking for their help. As Di-Aping observed in his briefing, UN policy on climate change, while profitable for Western corporations, condemns Africa to immeasurable suffering.
