Rupa Marya, MD and professor of medicine at UCSF, says veterans who served in the oil wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are supporting the Lakota at Standing Rock, and are ready to serve the people now, rather than corporations. These oil wars, she says, have come home.
The library is dedicated to the memory of Secwepemc Chief George Manuel (1921-1989), to the nations of the Fourth World and to the elders and generations to come.
