Manipur has been a nation state since 33 AD. The Independent Manipur was forcefully taken by the government of India on 15 October 1949 with military power. from that day until today the people are fighting to restore the Independence of Manipur. They have submitted memorandum to the United Nation Decolonization Committee for the decolonization of Manipur from India.
The library is dedicated to the memory of Secwepemc Chief George Manuel (1921-1989), to the nations of the Fourth World and to the elders and generations to come.
