What is the relationship between transformation of self and transformation of the world? How does Buddhism and one’s everyday practice offer a means to individual and social transformation? What has inspired each of them in their many years of engagement with social and environmental issues, and how spiritual perspective, especially Buddhism, have enriched their lives. Audience will also have an opportunity to ask questions. The evening’s program will also include a simple reception with Tibetan tea and snacks, a brief video on the Tibetan Community Center, and a special musical performance by Lili Haydn (www.lilihaydn.com). His work to date includes 90 films, as well as featured roles in many television series. He has provided voice- over narrations for over 120 documentaries and 16 audiobooks. He continues to lend his rich voice to narrations for commercials and documentaries and often donates his voice to films that support issues close to his heart. He has dedicated his life to sustainability and changing the relationship between business and the environ- ment. His practice has included starting and running ecological businesses, writing and teaching about the impact of commerce on living systems, and consulting with governments and corporations on economic development, industrial ecology, and environmental policy. She has created a groundbreaking theoretical framework for personal and social change, as well as a powerful workshop methodology for its application. Her wide-ranging work addresses psychological and spiritual issues of the nuclear age, the cultivation of ecological awareness, and the fruitful resonance between Buddhist thought and contemporary science.
